Heb 11:16 ? ?God is not ashamed to be called their God.?

…. when God has faith in man. God was not ashamed to be called their God. It is possible for God to testify about you. God must have a man he can have faith in? God had faith in Abraham.

God used to describe himself: ?I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? (Exo. 3:15; cf Matthew 22:32). In so doing, our God, chose to identify himself with the people who follow him. In the entire Bible we see the phrase ? Read Full Entry

Title: Increase: Have More-Sounds of Abundance (1 Kings 18:41-46 ; James 5:17-18)
Date: 21 May 2006

MESSAGE

1 Kings 18:41 “… there is a sound of an abundance of rain.”

Historical Background
Ahab becomes king of Israel for 22yrs and did many things the Lord said were wrong. (16:30). The land of Israel was under God’s judgment for its sin of idolatry. God’s judgment came – a terrible drought that lasted 3 and a half years.

There are some today who are in a drought. ‘Your brook has dried up’ (1 Kings 17:7).  The word drought literally means dry, thirsty, desert ground. Somebody in this place is finding their finances, relationships, and their professions in dry, thirsty, desert ground. You just might be spiritually dehydrated right now.

No Other God

Title: No Other God (Galatians 1:6-9)

Date: 07 May 2006

MESSAGE

The gospel is changeless. But, we need to recognize that the assaults on the gospel are endless. There are always going to be people that are going to add to it or subtract from it. The turning point of disbelief always centers on the person of Jesus, either as an addition or a subtraction. For much cultic belief, it is a subtraction. They make Jesus less than the Scriptural testimony.??

In Galatians 1:6-9, Paul mentions the word ?gospel? five times.
“Gospel” means “good news? We may be reading in Genesis…Exodus…Psalms … Malachi…. Revelation. It?s all the GOSPEL.

The Da Vinci Code is just a novel.
?It was a quick romp, largely fun to read, if rather predictable and preachy. This is a good airplane book, a novelistic thriller that presents a rummage sale of accurate historical nuggets alongside falsehoods and misleading statements.?? (Margaret M. Mitchell is Associate Professor of New Testament at the University of Chicago Divinity School and the Chair of the Department of New Testament and Early Christian Literature)

Topic: Looking For A Great Church? ( Acts 4:23-37 )

MESSAGE

Today, many people are searching for a great church. But what is a great church? What is the church of your dreams? What kind of church do you want to attend? What kind of church do you think most people want to attend? Is GTPJ that kind of Church? Perhaps the real question is, “What type of church does God desire?” What?s God?s vision for his church?

Any search for a model Church must inevitably begin in the New Testament. Two models of a great church ? Jerusalem model in Acts 4 and the Antioch model in Acts 11. In these passages we will see what we desperately need if we are going to be a great church for the Kingdom of God. What took the Early Church from Acts 1:8 to Acts 9:31? Read Full Entry
