A Message by Rev Dr Vincent Leoh on 8 February 2009

I. YOU HAVE POSITIONAL PRIVILEGES/ADVANTAGES – ENJOY IT! (Eph. 1:3-6)

1. Our Spiritual Position:

“He chose us in Him” (Eph. 1:4) Adopted into God’s family (:5) “accepted in the Beloved” (:6)
Relationship has Privileges (Romans 8:1) Family Privileges (Rom. 8:14-17)

“…in the heavenly places in Christ” (1:3) God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:6)

2. Our Spiritual Possessions:

We are Blessed. “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. . . has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ” (Eph. 1:3).
Privilege always carries with it RESPONSIBILITY!

II. YOU HAVE POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES – LIVE IT! (Eph. 1:1, 4)

“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ” (Eph. 1:1; Rom. 1:1; 1 Cor. 1:1; Gal. 1:1; Col. 1:1; 1 & 2 Tim. 1:1).
While titles are nice they come with an inherent responsibility.
Our Responsibilities to the Lordship of Christ
It is only because of who we are in Christ that we are able to lay claim to the blessings of God.

III. YOU HAVE POSITIONAL AUTHORITY / POWER – USE IT! (1:1)

Authority is delegated power (Mark 6:7 ; Matthew 28:16-20; Philippians 2:10)

We must practice using our authority in every area of life.
