Proclaiming The Lord’s Favor
(Luke 4: 18-19 ; 2 Cor. 6:2)

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour” (Luke 4:18-19 NIV)
“… the year of God’s favor” – The year is not a set of 365 days, but a period of time where God’s favor, God’s grace is available to mankind.

NEW TONGUES FOR A NEW PEOPLE
“Speaking in tongues”
Glossa ~ the supernatural gift of tongues (Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6, 1 Cor 14)
Dialektos ~ earthly languages (Acts 2:6, 8, 11)
Tongues can be heavenly languages – tongues of angels (1 Cor 13:1), and they can be human languages as well – tongues of men. Read Full Entry
