EMPOWERMENT Series (3) on Book of Acts
(Acts 4:32 – 5:42)
——————————————-
The church had “great power” (4:33) This simply means that God was exerting His power in saving lost souls, that He was exerting His Power through ordinary people like you and me to witness boldly, clearly, and lovingly.
The church had “great grace” upon them. (4:33) God’s approval was upon them. His smile was upon them. They were doing what He had called them to do. And because of that God continued to supply them with everything they needed.
If the work is of God there will be “great power and much grace!” (v33)… not just power; but POWER and GRACE!
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A MOVEMENT IS FROM GOD? HOW DO YOU FLOW WITH THE MOVE OF THE SPIRIT?

EMPOWERMENT Series (2) on the Book of Acts

(Acts 3:1 – 4:31)
A Message by Rev Dr Vincent Leoh on 13 April 2008
————————————————————-
The emphasis in Acts 3 and 4 is on the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 3:6, 16; 4:7, 10, 12, 17-18, 30)
75 times in the Gospels and Acts we find phrases like: the name of Jesus, the name of the Lord, His name, etc. Jesus’ name is one of power and hope.
1 Jn. 3:16 – “The Love of Jesus”
Luke 3:16 – “The Power of Jesus”
Acts 3:16 – “The Name of Jesus”
I. NAME ABOVE EVERY NAME
A name implies much more than identification; it carries with it authority, reputation, and power. The name of the Lord Jesus has all authority behind it, for He is the Son of God (Matt 28:18).

Acts 1:1 -2:47
A Message by Rev Dr Vincent Leoh on 6 April 2008
……………………………………………………………………………..
Luke 24:49 “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Now, THERE’S REAL POWER! Power from on high! Not the power of the world, but the power that created the world. Not a worldly power but being clothed in power from on high.
See Jeremiah 31:31-34; Joel 2:28-32
POWERED BY BEING ….
I. CONSUMED WITH A CAUSE (1:1 - 26)
Star Gazers or Earth Shakers? “And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was departing …” You were Not Meant to be a Sky Gazer. God has a job for us to do. Read Full Entry
